As many as 20-25% of ovarian type cancers are now thought to have a genetic component. Genetic testing is available for all women with these cancers in our practice, as soon as these diagnosis are made. In addition, in our practice all women who have been diagnosed with endometrial cancer undergo molecular screening for Lynch syndrome and genetic testing if appropriate.
