Dr. Thomas Burke

Dr. Tom Burke has spent his entire career serving the OB GYN needs of Alaska’s women. He brings 35 years of clinical and surgical experience to Alaska Women’s Cancer Care.  Dr. Burke is deeply committed to public health with over 20 years of experience caring for Alaska Native women with gynecologic cancers. He currently splits his time between Alaska Women’s Cancer Care and the Alaska Native Medical Center division of gynecologic oncology.

Education

Dr. Burke graduated in 1982 from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska.  In 1982 he completed his Family Practice Residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. In 1993 he completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at Northwestern University in Chicago. He is board certified in both Obstetrics & Gynecology and Family Medicine.

Interests

Dr. Burke is an active Alaskan and enjoys mountain biking and skiing.

He is a dedicated father and humanitarian and he loves rock n’ roll music.
